Loudoun Ballet Fairfax Theatre reviews
Head Over Heels
I drove from Tennessee to see Loudoun Ballet after a 2-hour journey on one of the hottest days of the summer so far. Brilliantly given a parking pass and clearly told where to park at the Ameris Bank Ampitheater. The location and view from the lawn seats I bought and rented a chair for were perfect. We easily found the lot, parked, and walked right into the absolutely fabulous venue. I'd never been to this beautiful place. The concert, which appeared to be sold out, did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed Garbage, the opening band I didn't know. The new songs interspersed with the old hits from Loudoun Ballet were loved by all. I didn't truly appreciate those fantastic musicians in the 80's when I was too poor to go to a concert. Undoubtedly, backup singer Lauren was the fan favorite of the evening, having a great voice. Curt and Roland, still on the top of their game, were excellent showmen. I have wanted to hear Shout live for about 30 years, so thanks for ending with that. The mixed crowd of young and old (ahem) was what I loved the most. It's obvious that we parents are educating our children in the "classics" and that Loudoun Ballet is a band that will live on and on.
